Day 26: on the bus ride to Wudang Shan…we shall sleep @ Monday, October 11, 2010

It is a long bus ride from our hostel, to Wu Chang, the place where Wudang Shan is. Everyone were quite tired and not ready for the trip, as we needed to wake up early in the morning. However, good for us, during that long 5 hour bus ride, we will be able to sleep, sleep and do more sleeping. Time sure fly while you are doing something. We reached our first destination to have our lunch.

Shortly after lunch, we took a bus up to various parts of the mountain. The bus is very special, as Wudang Shan is a protected region by the government, air pollution, will be reduced to its minimum, thus the bus we took only runs on fuels that are not as harmful to the environment.

The adventure really begins when the bus starts it route. The first few corners were gentle, while gradually it increased to more twist and turns. I felt like I was in initial D myself, except this is a bus instead of a car. After each death defying stunts, we reach three locations.
I shall allow the pictures to speak for it.

Reflection:
Everyone has only one chance in life. No matter what we do, we are only given one chance. Seldom will a second opportunity will be granted. Even if so, only a few lucky once will be able to get it. Thus, climbing Wudang Shan may not be my first and hopefully not my last, however, it is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. The grass is greener on the other side; the air is fresher up on the mountains. The scenery is phenomenal. Apart from the ever “soul-reaping” bus ride, the trip around Wudang Shan is quite pleasant. Next stop, Wudang Shan - “jin ding”.
