Day 16- a coca cola day @ Friday, October 1, 2010
After the first industrial visit, we went for another industrial visit. Next stop… coca cola factory!!! When we were at the location, everyone fishes out their cameras and starts snapping away. There are only two reasons for this. One, for memory sake, second, is to take photos to put in our OIP blogs. SNAP.
Shortly after, we were brought around the place and were treated to their coca cola, straight from the fridge. We were then being brought around part of the factory. We were like chicks following the mother hen, some attentively listening to the explanation, while others occasionally walked off from the group to take photos.
Spot the difference!!

Reflection:
After the two industrial visits, I came to a conclusion, which is, both of the two companies do not have anything in common. However, in order for them to be able to succeed and become so successful, one of the reasons can be linked to a good management and transportation. Managing the team is a crucial key point where companies might overlook. A corrupted management will also hinder the company from progressing to a higher level. While on the second industrial visit, I saw a coca cola truck going for its delivery. The size of that truck is huge. This means that it will enable the driver to send the products to various points without having to come back to the main factory to top-up. To sum it all, it has been a beneficial trip and experience.
