Day 11 - start of a wonderful day (three gorges dam) @ Sunday, September 26, 2010
Chapter 1 of our three gorges journey –
Everyone, we are now embarking on a journey to Yi Chang and it shall be a 4 to 5 hours ride … and that was about all I heard. The rest, I just tuned out and start to do my own touring outside the window of the bus
Before I know it, we have arrived at our destination, one is to have our dinner, next is to where we shall take our cruise
A must watch scene, the locks that our cruise went through. It was quite magnificent, considering it is the first time I am able to watch it for the first time of my life.
Reflection:
It might have been a very long journey, from our hostel, which is at Wuhan Xi and take a bus all the way to Yi Chang, is a very long and tiring journey. However, what matters most is we are able to get to see the magnificent locks so up-close. Thus it makes it such cherish able and memorable activity. The wait on board the bus and on the cruise itself compare with the anticipation and excitement that builds up gradually within me. I feel like I am back to a little kid whereby every single thing in the world fascinates me. Starting from opening of the gates to getting into the lock and finally, to rising of the water level.
